Netanyahu says he and Trump in lockstep on stopping Iranian nukes; has special forces on hand if lands somewhere that seeks his arrest

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells Fox News that he and US President Donald Trump “see eye-to-eye” on stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

“It was great,” he tells the station’s Sean Hannity of his closed-doors meeting with Trump Tuesday, repeating that it was “one of the best meetings that we’ve had.”

Netanyahu describes his alliance with Trump as a “wall of granite.”

“That’s because the president is so clear. We have a common commitment,” he says. “We don’t want to see this fanatic regime in Tehran have nuclear weapons to threaten every American and to threaten the peace of the world and to threaten the existence of Israel.”

“So we have this common goal, and its going to be achieved, either through diplomatic means or other means, but we’re both committed to that,” he adds, describing it as the main takeaway from his White House meeting.

Hannity also asks Netanyahu about recent threats from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to arrest Netanyahu, who has been charged with war crimes by the International Criminal Court over the Gaza war. Mamdani later acknowledged that he does not have the authority to arrest Netanyahu should he attend the United Nations General Assembly in September.

Netanyahu reiterated he would be going to New York.

“I’m definitely going to be there, I’m going to speak the truth in front of us,” Netanyahu says. Israel vociferously rejects claims of war crimes in Gaza

The Fox host then asks Netanyahu what he would do if his plane had to make an emergency landing in a country that would enforce the ICC warrant.

“Do you worry about that,” Hannity asks.

“I think about it,” Netanyahu says. “We have special forces around.”

“Lets give them a new task,” he says without giving further details.
