Palestinian media reports say the Israeli Air Force bombed a number of residential buildings in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military has not yet commented on the latest strikes, but has said it is targeting sites used by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, including command centers houses in residential buildings.

The Israel Defense Forces says it warns residents of such buildings to clear the area first, before carrying out the strike.

There are no immediate reports of injuries.

Palestinian media publish footage of some of the strikes.
