The Civil Administration’s planning committee will advance plans to build nearly 4,000 new housing units in West Bank settlements when it convenes next week.

Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked tweeted that the committee would convene next week to approve 4,000 homes, calling construction in the West Bank a “basic, required and obvious thing.”

Haaretz reports that the Civil Administration will meet Thursday to advance 1,452 units, and that another 2,536 units will be approved by Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
