Police: ‘A number of students have been killed’ in flash flood incident
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSeveral of the students caught in a flash flood in the south of Israel have been confirmed dead, police say.
“A number of students have been killed in the flash floods,” police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld tells the Times of Israel.
Rescue authorities put the number at nine. One student is still missing.
Youths from a pre-military academy were swept away in torrential floods during a hike in Nahal Tzafit, a riverbed in the southern Dead Sea area.
