Police: Haifa man arrested for stabbing French navy soldier at port

Police say officers arrested a 24-year-old resident of Haifa for allegedly stabbing a French navy soldier at the northern city’s bay this morning.
Police describe the incident as a brawl. It occurred after the soldier’s boat docked at the Haifa port.
The soldier was moderately hurt in the incident, and was taken to the nearby Rambam hospital for further treatment.
Law enforcement officials say the suspect will be brought to a Haifa court tomorrow to extend his remand.
