Report: Suspect in murder of young boy in Beit Shemesh was under influence of drugs

The suspect in the murder of a young boy in Beit Shemesh last week was under the influence of drugs when he carried out the deadly stabbing, according to a report.

Liel Ifergen had taken a substance before he stabbed to death 7-year-old Hillel Mordechai Dadon and injured his 4-year-old cousin, while their parents were out of the house, according to the Kan public broadcaster. The stabbing took place during a birthday party for Dadon.

The report does not specify what drugs Ifergen took.

The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court today ordered Ifergen kept in custody until at least September 3, police say.
