Russia signs agreement to build nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan

Russia signs an agreement with Kazakhstan on building a nuclear power plant in Central Asia’s largest country.

The agreement was signed today during a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin who met Kazakhstan’s president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The parties also sign an agreement on the provision of a Russian export credit to finance the construction of the plant.
