Taglit-Birthright delays May trips, will place some staff on unpaid leave
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTaglit-Birthright announces that it is further scaling back its operations amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to an email by the organization’s CEO, Gidi Mark, sent to committee members, all trips to Israel planned for May have been delayed. Earlier trips were already called off before today.
“We will encourage them to change their trip date to a later month this summer,” he writes.
Mark also says Taglit will place some of its staff on unpaid leave starting April 1, without specifying how many employees that will affect.
