US President Donald Trump says Abdul El-Sayed’s apparent victory in the Michigan Democratic Senate primary is “great news” for his Republican party.

“El-Sayed, a communist loser who hates Jews and Israel, is the projected winner in his race with the socialist,” Trump writes on Truth Social, referring to El-Sayed’s moderate challenger Haley Stevens.
