Trump to end birthright citizenship — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS President Donald Trump says tells the Axios news site that he intends to sign an executive order to end the policy that grants citizenship to anyone born on US soil. In an interview for the show “Axios on HBO” that is set to air next week, Trump calls the policy “ridiculous” and says it “has to end.”
“We’re the only country in the world where a person comes in and has a baby, and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States … with all of those benefits,” he says. “It’s ridiculous. It’s ridiculous. And it has to end.”
