Health officials in Hamas-controlled Gaza claim that an Israeli strike has killed two people, including a four-year-old boy.
The strike hit a building in Zawayda town in the center of the enclave and followed a warning by the IDF for the owners of the property to leave the area, residents say.
Medics say flying debris and shrapnel that spread for dozens of meters around wounded at least six people, including the 4-year-old, Mohammad Abdel-Salam Taha, who was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The civil defense rescue service, which operates under Hamas authority, says another person was killed.
“The two martyrs as well as several wounded were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah,” also in central Gaza, the civil defense tells AFP.
The IDF has not yet commented.
