UN envoy said to speak with Israel’s national security adviser about Gaza ceasefire

Citing diplomatic sources, the report says UN envoy Tor Wennesland has been holding “intensive” talks over the past day with National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat and other Israeli officials and Hamas.
However, an unnamed official denies Israel is holding any talks about a possible ceasefire.
“The operation will continue as long as needed,” the official is quoted as saying.
