US confirms striking Iran in ‘powerful response’ to attacks targeting American forces
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS Central Command announces that it has renewed airstrikes in Iran, in what it calls “a powerful response to yesterday’s attempted Iranian attacks on US forces based in the Middle East.”
CENTCOM doesn’t immediately provide further details on the strikes, which come after US President Donald Trump threatened a response to the Iranian attacks, which broke a lull in fighting that began when he declared a halt to hostilities over the weekend.
