US official says Iran’s focus on internal crisis offers opportunity to disarm Hamas
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA senior US official tells Channel 12 that he believes the internal crisis in Iran has created a unique opportunity to implement phase two of President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for ending the Gaza war.
The official argues that Arab countries are pressing Hamas to disarm and that the terror group is out of options because Iran is too focused on its own internal affairs to come to the rescue.
“There’s a big opportunity to demilitarize Gaza,” the US official says.
