Zelensky: Ukrainian forces ‘holding out,’ but outnumbered in key eastern city
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleKYIV, Ukraine — Ukrainian forces are “holding out” against Moscow’s troops in the eastern city of Severodonetsk, but are outnumbered by a “stronger” Russian side, President Volodymyr Zelensky says.
“We’re holding out,” but “there are more of them and they are stronger,” he tells journalists in Kyiv, adding that Severodonetsk and neighboring Lysychansk are both “dead cities now.”
