The body of Private Netta Brand, who was reported missing Wednesday, was found Near Beit Shemesh Thursday morning. The IDF Spokesperson’s office said he was found shot, with his rifle lying next to him.

Brand, who served in the Givati Brigade, had left his home after leaving a suicide note, according to the soldier’s family. He was dressed in full uniform, and had his IDF-issued rifle, when he left his home at 8 a.m.
Police, together with the army and volunteers, conducted extensive searches across the country.
Brand is from Givat Yeshayahu, near Beit Shemesh.
The military police will conduct an investigation into his death.
