Austrian ambassador: Israel has ‘every right’ to destroy Hezbollah tunnels

Austrian Ambassador to Israel Martin Weiss rebuffs criticism of Israel’s announced operation to destroy Hezbollah tunnels that stretch from Lebanon inside the country, saying it has “every right in the world to protect its territory.”

“Lots of opinions out there about ‘Operation Northern Shield.’ But in this context, let’s just be clear about one fact: Israel has every right in the world to protect its territory & its citizens from threats and aggressions coming from abroad,” he posted on Twitter.
