The casket containing the apparent remains of a dead hostage has arrived at the Abu Kabir forensic institute in Tel Aviv for identification, the Health Ministry says.
The identification process may take up to two days.
Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad did not provide the identity of the hostage they handed over.
