A ceremony marking two years since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre at the Nova music festival in southern Israel — where 378 people lost their lives — has begun in Tel Aviv, organized by the Nova Tribe Community Association.
The event, hosted by Chen Zander, whose sister Noa was murdered while fleeing the Nova festival, brings together hundreds of bereaved families, friends, and survivors to honor the victims of the music festival.
Performances include the Heart of Nova band, made up of survivors and bereaved relatives.
During the ceremony, participants reiterate calls for the return of the remaining 48 hostages still held in Gaza, 14 of whom are members of the Nova community.
The Nova Tribe Community Association, which supports survivors and bereaved families through counseling, rehabilitation, and advocacy, says the evening is meant to offer “a shoulder and a place to get through these difficult days together.”
