Egypt pans Hamas, Qatar, Turkey for ceasefire failure
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleEgypt launches an unprecedented assault on Hamas, blaming the Islamist group, Qatar and Turkey for acting to scuttle Cairo’s ceasefire proposal. Egyptian Foreign Minister Samah Shukri says the Egyptian proposal sought to safeguard the rights of the Palestinian people.
Egypt even claims that Hamas could have saved the lives of hundreds of Palestinians had it accepted the Egyptian proposal.
