A man and his 15-year-old son have been shot and killed in Nazareth, first responders say.
Just five days into the new year, the double homicide brings the death toll of violent crime in Arab society to six.
Paramedics found the victims, Adham and Nadim Nasser, unconscious and without a pulse, both suffering from several bullet wounds.
The pair were shot while installing security cameras outside a house in the city, according to Ynet. The outlet reports that the assailants likely mistook them for their target.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, while the father was rushed to a hospital in the city. He succumbed to his wounds on the way.
Police have opened an investigation into the shooting and are searching for suspects, they say.
Last year was the deadliest year on record for Arab society, which mourned 252 homicide victims killed over the course of 2025.
