Finance minister announces candidate for director-general
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFinance Minister Israel Katz announces the nomination of Oded Shamir as the new director-general of the treasury.
The nomination requires a cabinet vote.
Shamir is a former head of Israel Railways.
The former director-general of the ministry, Keren Terner Eyal, stepped down in October over the government’s handling of the economic aspects of the pandemic.
