The IDF says troops have launched raids in the West Bank towns of Beit Furik and Tubas, following stabbings carried out by Palestinian residents earlier.

In the first incident, a civilian was stabbed and seriously wounded near the settlement of Elon Moreh by two Palestinians from Beit Furik, who were then shot dead.

Later in the day, an IDF paratrooper was lightly injured in a stabbing attack in the northern West Bank. The attacker, from Tubas, was shot dead.

The military says troops raided Beit Furik and entered the home of one of the two attackers, as well as questioned several suspects in the area.

Soldiers also raided Tubas and entered the attacker’s home, the army adds.
