Iranian police arrest 54 supporters of exiled crown prince over alleged riot plot — state media
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIran’s state-aligned Fars News Agency reports that police arrested 54 supporters of crown prince Reza Pahlavi within 72 hours, adding that they were allegedly planning riots in the country.
The outlet says that 11 individuals belonging to what it describes as the “monarchist faction” were “neutralized” during the operations.
Authorities also detained two additional suspects accused of spying for Israel and the United States and photographing “important sites,” according to the report.
