A senior Israeli official says Jerusalem briefed the Biden administration and Ukraine both before and after Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the premier proposed that Israel mediate between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin was “open” to the proposal, Reuters reports.
