Israeli, Hamas delegations land in Cairo
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Israeli and Hamas teams arrived in Egypt last night for indirect ceasefire negotiations, Egyptian media report.
The teams are reportedly staying in the same hotel, working on the proposal in different rooms, with Egyptian representatives conveying both sides’ objections and proposed revisions.
The Israeli team comprises of Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s associate Yitzhak Molcho, and security official Amos Gilad.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is also in attendance.
Major discrepancies between both sides’ demands have been reported.
