Liberman: PM prevented assassination of Islamic Jihad commander last year

Yisrael Beytenu head Avigdor Liberman says that last year Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “prevented” the assassination of Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Ata, killed in a Tuesday strike by the IDF.

“A year ago, Netanyahu resisted his targeted killing and sat back. I thought even a year ago that his time had come, but the prime minister forcibly prevented it,” Liberman tells the Walla news site.
