The Likud party issues a statement slamming the police for summoning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s chief of staff Tzachi Braverman for an interrogation earlier today in connection with the Bild leak scandal.

“The questioning of Tzachi Braverman is nothing more than a continuation of the campaign of persecution against the prime minister and his staff,” the Likud party says in a statement, accusing the police of trying to “dig up something that could be used as leverage against him.”

The party alleges that former IDF military advocate general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, who is being investigated for leaking a video from Sde Teiman and covering up the leak, was treated by the police “with kid gloves.”

“It turns out everything depends on which side of the political map you are on,” the party alleges.
