Measles patient flew from Ethiopia to Tel Aviv last week, says Health Ministry

The Health Ministry states that a patient with measles flew on an Ethiopian Airlines flight from Ethiopia to Tel Aviv on Thursday, February 19, at 10:30 a.m.

Passengers who were on this flight are asked to ensure that they are vaccinated in accordance with the ministry’s recommendations.

The country is in the midst of its worst measles epidemic since 2018-2019, with 16 fatalities since May 2025. As of Sunday, 25 people were hospitalized with measles, including 7 in intensive care.
