Netanyahu endorses Likud’s Elkin for Jerusalem mayor

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu endorses Jerusalem Affairs Minister Ze’ev Elkin (Likud) for mayor of the capital in the late October race.

“As an MK, a minister, and particularly as minister of Jerusalem affairs, Minister Elkin did much for our capital and proved it is close to his heart and very dear to him,” said Netanyahu on Twitter. “I wish him much luck!”

Also in the running is Netanyahu’s former bureau director general Moshe Lion, Kulanu MK Rachel Azaria, Hitorerut candidate Ofer Berkovitch, and several others.
