Netanyahu meets with Edelstein to try to push him to present Haredim new conscription bill

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently meeting with Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Yuli Edelstein (Likud) in his Knesset office, in an effort to convince him to present Haredi lawmakers with a copy of his revised ultra-Orthodox conscription bill this evening, Hebrew media reports.
According to a source with knowledge of the matter who spoke earlier with The Times of Israel, Edelstein will not present ultra-Orthodox lawmakers with a draft of legislation today, despite the United Torah Judaism party’s threat to bolt the coalition if Edelstein fails to present the bill.
According to UTJ MK Moshe Roth, the Likud lawmaker had until the end of the day to comply with his party’s demands.
