Netanyahu, wife cast ballots for Likud Central Committee election

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara cast their ballots in an internal Likud election to choose the members of the ruling party’s powerful Central Committee.
“As we came in here, we met some longtime Likud members and some younger Likud members, and it warms the heart to see the turnout, the enthusiasm. This is the only truly democratic party… Maybe there’s one more, barely a small one, but this is democracy at its best, and this is the Likud at its best,” Netanyahu tells reporters.
The prime minister declines to answer questions from the press.
