Task force created to deal with complaints of cop violence in Ethiopian-Israeli community

Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit and Israel Police Interim Commissioner Motti Cohen established a joint task force of the Justice Ministry and police to deal with complaints of police violence in the Ethiopian-Israeli community.

The task force is charged with increasing the efficiency and speed with which complaints against cops are handled — and comes after a series of consultations by top officials following nationwide protests over the killing on June 30 of 19-year-old Solomon Tekah by an off-duty cop.
