Police are deployed in large numbers near Maghar on the Lebanese border to search for suspects in the apparent killing of a woman found dead in a home there.
A statement from a police spokesperson says the woman, 32, was found with apparent gunshot wounds, and an investigation has been opened.
Police say the motive or background for the apparent killing is not yet known.
The victim is the 114th person to be killed by violent crime in the Arab community this year, 15 of them women, the Abraham Initiatives says.
Police who were in Maghar investigating a traffic accident were called to the scene by residents who heard gunshots, the police statement says.
