On Facebook, Russia’s embassy in Israel announces in Russian that the embassy, in conjunction with Tel Aviv’s Russian House, Gesher Hazikaron (Memory Bridge), and the “Rostov Regional Patriotic Movement Roads of Glory – Our History” is holding a fundraiser for orphans and children with disabilities from Luhansk and Donetsk, the Ukraine breakaway regions whose independence was recognized by Russian President Vladimir Putin ahead of the invasion.

“Israelis, who wish to help the children of Donbas, can turn to the pages in the social networks of Memory Bridge, of the Russian Embassy in Israel and the Russian House in Tel Aviv,” reads the post.

“We are sure that very soon the long-awaited peace and tranquility will come to the DPR and LPR. Children will be able to return to kindergartens and schools in order to continue learning in their native Russian language.”
