Settlers filmed rebuilding illegal outpost in West Bank’s Area B

Settlers were filmed earlier today rebuilding an illegal outpost in Area B of the West Bank, which is supposed to be under the administrative control of the Palestinian Authority.

Israeli authorities have taken down the outpost, named Kol Mevaser, several times in the past, deeming it a security risk. It is one of the rare examples of illegal settler construction that Israeli authorities have sought to thwart, as the majority of focus has been on wildcat Palestinian building.

However, the settlers have once again returned to the hilltop located near the Palestinian village of Mikhmas, which has been subject to repeated attacks by Israeli extremists.

Heavy construction equipment is filmed being used by the settlers in an indication that the IDF appears to be, at the very least, turning a blind eye to the illegal construction.
