Three arrested over Rahat revenge killing

Police arrested three suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Rahat last night, law enforcement announces.

The shooting was apparently a retaliatory killing, following a knife fight between two men that reignited a blood feud between rival families in the southern Bedouin city.

Police say that the detained suspects arrived at the home of the rival family last night and opened fire, seriously injuring two men.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene took both to the hospital, and one of the victims, 21-year-old Adam al-Oubarah, succumbed to his wounds that night.

Officers also raided the families’ residences and seized military-grade weaponry, including assault rifles and handguns they believe were likely stolen from IDF bases in the area.
