Trump again posts image depicting Strait of Hormuz as US territory

US President Donald Trump again shares an image on his Truth Social account declaring that the Strait of Hormuz is “NEW US territory.”
The post, which has no caption, comes after the US announced that it would be imposing “the toughest sanctions in history” on Iran, in a bid to ramp up economic pressure and force an end to the stand-off over the vital strait.
Trump first shared the image on August 18, days after vowing that he would “soon” declare Hormuz a US territory.
