Moldovan foreign worker stabbed to death in Jerusalem; 4 suspects arrested

Victim in his 20s; one of the detained moderately hurt in incident, in capital’s Arnona neighborhood

Police on Monday opened an investigation into a suspected murder in Jerusalem after finding a man stabbed to death in an apartment.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was identified by police as a foreign worker from Moldova. He was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.

The killing, which police suspect was the result of a brawl between neighbors, happened in an apartment in Jerusalem’s Arnona neighborhood.

Police said they were called to the area to address a “violent incident” at around 1:30 a.m.

Officers scoured the area for evidence and arrested four suspects.

A man in his 40s was moderately injured in the same incident and taken to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center. Police questioned him as part of the investigation.
