Applause at packed Hostages Square as Witkoff, Kushner meet with families ahead of rally

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his wife, Ivanka Trump, are greeted by applause from Hostages Square in Tel Aviv as they enter the Beit Ariella public library to meet with the families of hostages.
Witkoff and Kushner played key roles in securing the hostage release deal and ceasefire in Gaza.
Witkoff is expected to speak at Hostages Square at 8:20 p.m. and thousands of people have crowded into the Square in anticipation. A tight press gaggle surrounds the library’s front door, waiting for him to reappear.
