As sanctions restored, France, UK and Germany warn Iran against ‘escalatory’ acts
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFrance, Britain and Germany warn Iran against “escalatory action” as deep UN sanctions on Tehran come back into force following failed last-minute nuclear talks.
“The reimposition of UN sanctions is not the end of diplomacy,” the foreign ministers of the three European nations, known as the E3, say in a joint statement.
“We urge Iran to refrain from any escalatory action and to return to compliance with its legally binding safeguards obligations,” they say.
