Belgium official says attacker killed police with their own firearms
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA gunman shot and killed two police officers earlier today after seizing their own weapons, also killing a 22-year-old bystander, in a brazen attack in the Belgian city of Liege, a prosecutor says.
“Armed with a knife, the suspect followed and attacked two police officers, and used their own firearms to kill them,” prosecutor Philippe Dulieu says at a news conference.
An official at the Belgian federal prosecutor’s office says “there are indications” the shooting could be a terror attack.
