Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport is set to record the busiest day since the US-Israeli war with Iran, according to data by the Israel Airports Authority.
More than 75,000 passengers are expected to pass through Ben Gurion Airport today on incoming and outgoing international flights, the highest number of travelers in a single day since before the war broke out on February 28, the Israel Airports Authority says.
In July, more than 2 million passengers are expected to travel through the country’s main international airport, marking a 25% increase in traffic compared with the same month last year.
The US-Israeli war with Iran led to the closure of Israel’s airspace, which was reopened to regular civilian air traffic in early April as a ceasefire took effect.
