Biden spoke with Qatari emir to push resolution to hostage release delay

US President Joe Biden spoke a short while ago with Qatar Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, urging him to act to overcome the Hamas delay in the implementation of the hostage deal, an official familiar with the matter tells The Times of Israel.

Less than an hour ago Qatar confirmed that the release of the next batch of hostages would move ahead soon after a delay of hours.
