El Al flight attendant in serious condition after catching measles from passenger
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAn El Al Airlines flight attendant is in serious condition after contracting the measles virus from a passenger on a flight last week from New York to Tel Aviv.
The woman is unconscious and hooked up to a respirator at the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.
The Health Ministry calls on all passengers from El Al flight 002 that landed in Israel on March 27 who are experiencing signs of illness to see a doctor immediately.
Channel 12 reports that the flight attendant had been vaccinated, but the immunization is only 93-97% effective.
