Fire at hospital in Pakistan kills 14 infants, authorities say
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleA fire at a hospital in the Pakistani capital Islamabad this morning killed 14 infants, a local authority say.
The fire broke out on the third floor of the Mother and Child Health Ward at the public Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital, the district office says in a statement.
The statement gave a death toll of 14, who according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were all infants.
The statement does not state the cause of the fire.
