Gaza balloons ignite several fires in southern Israel
Multiple fires are raging in southern Israel that were apparently sparked by balloon-borne incendiary devices launched from the Gaza Strip.
Blazes are reported in the areas of Erez, Be’eri and Nahal Oz, all to the northeast of the Strip. Firefighters are working to extinguish the fires.
Fire and Rescue Services investigators have yet to determine the causes of the fires, but Palestinian media has reported that terror groups in the Strip have been launching the arson balloons throughout the day.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fires, most of which are relatively contained.
