Iran’s Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says his country’s delegation raised “forward-looking” initiatives during negotiations in Pakistan’s Islamabad, but the US failed to gain the trust of the delegation in the talks that ended this morning without an agreement.

“The US has understood Iran’s logic and principles and it’s time for them to decide whether they can earn our trust or not,” Ghalibaf, who was among Iran’s negotiating team, says in a post on X.
