Hungary: Polls show center-right Tisza leading over Orban’s party as voting ends

As polls close in Hungary, two newly published opinion polls show that the country’s center-right Tisza party is projected to win today’s elections over Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s ruling Fidesz party.
The opinion polls are released as voting ends at 7 p.m. local time, but they were conducted in the days leading up to the election.
Pollster 21 Research Center publishes data showing that Tisza was backed by 55 percent of voters, as compared to 38% for Fidesz.
Tisza is projected to win 132 mandates in Hungary’s 199-seat parliament in the poll announced on news site Telex.hu.
The second survey, conducted by Median and aired on RTL Klub television, puts Tisza at 135 mandates.
