IDF says it ordered people to reserve duty by mistake
The army says a text message was mistakenly sent out to people informing them that they must report to a base for reserve duty and tactical training by 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
According to reports, the message was blasted to thousands of people, most of whom had no link to the reserve unit in question.
“The incident is being probed. This was a mistake and a corrected message has been sent out,” the IDF says in a statement, according to Hebrew media reports.
The message came amid heightened security tensions in the north and south.
